Genealogical and historical description:
Artificially created collection of records documenting Delaware's military
activities from King George's War
(c1744) through the War of 1812 to about 1827. The collection was created for
publication.;
Scope and Contents:
Types of records found here include muster in and out rolls; payroll records;
correspondence concerning
funding, clothing, troop recruitment, military action, petitions from soldiers
concerning back pay, pensions,
etc.; court proceeding in treason cases; and materials reflecting the effects of
war on the local population.
A sixth "volume" of material that was never published is included here. Type of
records in the sixth volume
are no different from those appearing in the first five volumes. For further
