A hand-written note on the typed summary in the file observes that the deposition doesn't explicitly say that Bond was in the Battle of Camden, but I think it is very likely that he, as well as Capt. Anderson were there:
"that he held the appointment of sergeant and marched under Cap Robert Anderson to Hillsborough in North Carolina where they joined other troops under the command of General Stevens and within sight of the regular Troops under Genl. Gates, but was not allowed to join them but marched to near Camden in South Carolina where they did join them the day before the battle, known by the name of Gates defeat. that after the Battle the Troops being all dispersed and scattered. He assembled with other troops at Hillsborough, which was about the close of the Tour."

Nova Scotia, Canada, who came as a result of his service with the Duke of Cumberland's Regiment (Lord Montague)....He was released from prison at Charleston on 10 February 1781. He then enlisted in the British Army as a private with His Royal Highness, the Duke Of Cumberland's Regiment of the Carolina Rangers for service in the West Indies. He was discharged on 20 June 1784 at Chedabucto , Nova Scotia. He received 1 town lot SE1#19 and 100 acres of rear lands at Guysborough Co.,NS."

CLH: This PA includes such a detailed account of the Battle of Camden that I initially suspected Boisseau had brought a history book into court. His description of later events that wouldn't have made the history books is equally detailed and correct, however, so I believe his claim that he was relying on his own vivid recollections. Contrary to the Guilford Dudley's recollection, ..., Boisseau states that when the Americans and British first encountered each other it was too dark for battle. He also says that the Virginia militiamen did at least fire one volley before fleeing, and he gives the impression that not all fled in panic.

Fifer Thomas Tyack was in one of the Maryland Artillery batteries (probably William Brown's). He is shown in Muster Rolls...MD Troops..1775-83: pages 578, 583, 584.

He is shown in Murtie J. Clark's Loyalists in the southern campaign of the Revolutionary War (Vol II:214-217) as enlisting in Captain McDonald's Company of Tarleton's Legion. No date is given but his name is out of alphabetical sequence and appears with other Continentals.
