This vintage microphone photo collection is not to be considered a definitive compendium of early microphones. Rather it is simply a pictorial review of some of the more notable early broadcast-type microphones that I have been able to acquire over the past 30+ years. Even within that narrow collection ambit however, there are still a few significant holes (historically important missing mics) that have not been plugged; ergo, it is by no means to be considered a complete photo review of broadcast microphones.
