Angels on the Web

This site holds more than 1,200 resources about Angels. It includes FAQs, Christian, Jewish and Muslim authorities, debate, controversy and over 900 pictures of angels, from Medieval manuscripts to fantasy art.

Art Galleries (over 900 angel pictures)

I scoured the web for the best angels pictures, described them and sorted them into sections. On 2/5 and 2/20 this jumped from 500 to over 900 angel pictures, with new fantasy and contemporary art galleries.

Angel Resources

Start with General Introductions. Christian views and sources are broken into Catholic Angels, Protestant Angels and Orthodox Angels. Jewish Angels and Angels in Islam are also covered. New Age angelology is covered with others under Other Traditions. For guardian angels, named angels and anglic orders, see Types, Guardians and Individuals.

See the left-hand bar for a complete list of all the topics covered.

Although large, the site is not complete. Nor was it put together by a robot. This site is informed primarily by an insatiable curiosity to see and understand all facets of human experience. I take pains to be fair, but not bland or uncritical. Training in ancient history and languages has left me with little patience for pretend-scholarship, but I generally keep religious comments to footnotes. I don't usually change my mind about sites, but I'd be more than happy to link to more sites from your point of view. The catch is: you've got to suggest some. I do not exclude sites on religious grounds, ever.

Know a good site I missed? Find a broken link? Let me know at [email protected].

Enjoy the site!
