Spur U.S. Routes

The "Spur" banner is fairly new. Sometimes these routes are suffixed as Y. (A graphic representation, imagine the main road bending one way or another. Recently the suffix "S" has also been used by Nevada, Kentucky and Arkansas. Using S for spurs is a bad idea as long as Tennessee maintains US 70S (a.k.a. US 70 South). AASHTO still interprets S as South. Spur routes are used to connect a US route to a specific point like a city, road junction, or border. Spur routes are more common in the western and midwestern US. A recent development in this type of route is "Connector", seen mostly in South Carolina. Conn routes connect a route to parallein route, often an alternate or business route of the same highway.

All routes listed from north to south and / or east to west.
