Optional U.S. Routes


Also known as OPT. Optional routes were used to a different possible through route through or around certain cities, like an Alternate route. None are listed in the 1989 US route log. The OPT designation seems to have been inactive since 1963, when the last one was decommissioned in Kansas City, Missouri.
