Dragonheart: A New Beginning (2000)

Amazon. Dragonheart - "2 Legendary Tales Double Bill" Buy both movies together. Or don't. Amazon's reviewers love the original, but hate the sequel. One calls it "shameful." Another is more expansive:

"Then in 2000 some jerk decided to create a sequel. ... Dragonheart a New Beginning is a disaster. They took an immortal classic and turned it into a low end kids flick. All the multilayered story and epic action sequences that I loved about the first Dragonheart is destroyed to make it for the peanut gallery. Four years of effects breakthroughs create a dragon named Drake who looks like a cartoon. The animation is a disaster. Its horrible."

Dragonslayer (1981)

Semi-positive review by Colin Jacobson / DVD Movie Guide (October 31, 2003): "No one will confuse Dragonslayer for a classic, but it offers a reasonably engaging little fable."

Dragon Slayer (2004)

Animated movie: "Dragon Slayer." Website of an attractive 3D animated short (resembling Shrek), said to have been released in Summer 2004 and apparently a German effort. You can watch the trailer. Those interested in the hows and whys of computer animation will enjoy their "making of" clips.
