Andrew Jackson on the Web

This site holds more than 350 resources about Andrew Jackson (1767–1845)— "Old Hickory", the Hero of New Orleans, and President of the United States—sorted, annotated and discussed. These includes biographies, books, primary sources, pictures of Jackson, cartoons, and even movies he inspired.

Some highlights

Start by reading one of the Web Biographies or Paper Biographies. Audio and Video is quite full, including three hours of lectures by the dean of Jackson biography, Robert V. Remini. Read about Jacksonian's Indian Policy, and the "Petticoat Affair".

There are over 100 images of Jackson under Pictures of Jackson and a special section for Political Cartoons.
