PBS documentary, The American Experience: Battle of the Bulge In contrast to most Bulge sites, this one is primarily aimed at a general school and adult audience, not veterans of the Bulge or WWII enthusiasts. It is easy to navigate and rich without being overwhelming. Highlights include a transcript , and picture gallery and personal recollections, including these video ones.

CRIBA, Center of Research and Information on the Battle of the Bulge, is the pre-eminent collection of Bulge-related data on the web. A high percent of the personal accounts on this site come from CRIBA, as do a smaller number of maps, histories, timelines, etc. Also see this List of literally hundreds of monuments and plaques commemorating the Battle of the Bulge and WWII in Belgium.

Wesley Johnston's Battle of the Bulge web page, from his Dad's War. Starts with a history and some valuable methological discussion—misconceptions, ways of getting a handle on the battle, etc. The bulk of the page is composed of excellent links to specific resources, mostly off-site. Many of the links are to unit's official site, or the site of their veterans' association.

Jean-Michel Delvaux's Battle of the Bulge site. Originally in French, this site now has English content, including narrative summaries and a fine picture gallery .

Joek's Battle of the Bulge page, with two personal accounts, museum suggestions, maps, etc., part of his larger WWII Site.

Study Group on the Battle of the Bulge (French acronym "CEBA") This is the Luxembourg equivalent of the Belgian CRIBA. Highlights include Narrative summary by Jean Milmeister, and two highly-specific pages on the Divisions involved in the BoB , with patches from each, and a List of liberated towns [in Luxembourg] by Camille P. Kohn.

Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge. Association website has much for Bulge veterans, including links to unit associations. The site is framed, preventing deep-linking, but check out their page of Bulge memorials and their newsletter, WWII Musings, with many relevant articles.

Personal accounts

The website for the PBS show The American Experience: Battle of the Bulge has veterans' recollections in a number of places:

  • Vets Remember
  • Dispatches
  • Viewer Mail and Share Your Story, where veterans who saw the program wrote in with their experiences. Some have a simple power.
"Infantryman survivor. 84th Inf. Div. 333rd. Company I (mine clearing) with the Division since La. training -- thru to the Elbe. In tears -- from the film this evening -- things I forgot and now reminded. Even my children never knew -- I could not tell."

CRIBA's Americans page (75% personal accounts, 25% histories and miscellany), and British page (similar).
