The Hs 123 was a biplane dive-bomber. Production ceased in 1940. Later the Hs 123 proved to be a very effective attack aircraft, and every available Hs 123 was taken from the training units and put in frontline service. They continued in frontline service until 1944, when no more were left -- production could not be resumed because all rigs had been destroyed. |
