The Waterfalls Region of McCloud and Burney
The waterfalls region is characterized not only by the volcanic features travelers have become familiar with, but also by plummeting water.

Burney Falls
and the McCloud River Falls are each home to cool hiking trails, picnic areas and campsites. At Burney Falls, near Lake Britton, you'll witness water dropping over a 129 foot basalt cliff. McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park is a wonderful place to camp while exploring the trails in the Park.
The McCloud Falls complex is made up of three waterfalls. Lower Falls, at Fowlers Campground, has a handicap accessible ramp to the edge of the pool that the falls cascades into. Middle and Upper Falls can be reach via a hiking trail that follows the river.
While visiting the region, services are available in Burney and the old lumber mill town of McCloud, which has restored many of the company buildings in its downtown.
