Support for Women's School Suffrage By County, 1897
Geographic Data:  Wessex

This map shows the New Jersey counties (pink) in which a majority of the male voters supported rural and small town women's school suffrage in the Constitutional Referendum of 1897.  The measure was defeated 75,171 to 65,021, with the most opposition coming from heavily populated urban areas.
