Grave Monument of Colonel James Williams

Colonel James Williams, who was purportedly slain by Major Ferguson at the Battle of Kings Mountain on 07 October 1780, is buried in the town of Gaffney, Cherokee County SC.  His grave is located on Limestone Street in front of the Cherokee County Administration Building.
