Gravesite of Baron de Kalb (1721-1780)

Baron de Kalb (1721-1780) died three days after the Battle of Camden, of wounds received during the battle.  His body has been interred and re-interred three times - the last time being at the present location in front of the Bethesda Presbyterian Church in the City of Camden (Kershaw County SC).  The last interment was on 8 March 1825 in the presence of the Marquis de Lafayette, who was on his famous 1824-1825 tour of the United States!
