inside cover page : Belgians wounded outside Antwerp
The 'War Budget' was a weekly pictorial supplement to the British newspaper the 'Daily Chronicle'. Founded at the start of the war, 'the War Budget' immediately made much of 'Brave Little Belgium' by publishing an amazing amount of photographic material having to do with the fighting in Belgium. All throughout August, September and October of 1914, the magazine printed a striking collection of photos taken in and around Antwerp during the fighting and retreat to the seacoast.
