Welcome
to the only web site dealing with the battlefields of the Second
World War - that mighty Total War which absorbed
millions and changed the course of world history for ever.
The site will reflect my own interest in this period, being
the son of a WW2 veteran, and my work as a Battlefield
Guide, Military Historian and author. The principal aim of Battlefields
of WW2 is to provide the Battlefield Visitor with
information on what there is to see, how to go about doing
it and raising awareness in these battlefields.
The
site is now ten years old, and in that time Battlefields
of WW2 has expanded from just looking at Normandy, to
Arnhem, the Ardennes, the history of British Army Divisions
and now the Italian Campaign of 1943-45.
Your
comments are always welcome, and if I can help with a visit
to a particular battlefield then email me using one of the
many email links.
The
war is a legacy we all share - At the going down of the
sun, and in the morning... we will remember them.
