I have the Honor to Inclose Col: Tarletons Letter which I have this Moment Received. --
I have Sent for the Person who is to go with the Flag of Truce and propose Sending him off this day. -- A Sergt from Smallwood came here yesterday with Letters for the Prisoners. I sent them back Instantly.
I shall Execute the Instructions sent me in Major Englands Letter Relative to the Rebell Officers &c.
[p2] We are Order'd to Collect Forage, Corn and Fuel and at the Same Time the Quarter-master Genl takes away our Waggons.
Unless more [Carriadges?] can be got we shall be much Distressed --
I Beg Leave to Inform your Lordship that there has been Grievous Complaints made of Mr. Knight the Commisary not paying his Drivers -- Such Conduct hurts the service and am Credibly Informed He has a Large sum of Money in his hands now. I am with much Respect
