Camden July 14th 1780
My Lord
As our Express Sets out this morning for McChord's ferry, I take that opportunity of informing your Lordship that nothing particular has occurred since I last had the Honor of writing to you: Excepting that I have had advise of the junction being formed between DeKalb & Caswell at Coxe's Settlement. From the measures which I have taken, I think every thing is in safe condition; & Doctor Hill has fitted me for any service by dispelling [p2] a little fever which had attacked me. The enclosed letter from Turnbull, will shew your Lordship that the misfortune of Huick's Party has not been so bad as it at first appeared. In the course of this day, I hope to hear with certainty something respecting the Enemy's movements; an account of which I should immediately dispatch. I have in the mean time the Honor & remain with equal respect & affection,
Your Lordship's
Most Faithful & obedt Servt
Rawdon
Earl Cornwallis &c &c
