Notes:

1 Biographical sketches of these officers can be found on the British Legion section of the "On Line Institute for Advanced Loyalist Studies." [see links]

2 These officers appear on the British Half Pay (Pension) List in 1784.

3 Ogilvie's troop was under the command of Captain Christian Huck from October 1779 to July 1780. No muster rolls from this period are known to exist.

General Note 1: Muster Rolls covering the period December 1779 through October 1780 are not included with the Muster Rolls on microfilm in the Public Archives of Canada (Series C, Record Group 8, Volumes 1883 to 1885, Reel C 4221). These particular rolls are missing and whether copies are available elsewhere cannot be determined.

General Note 2: The name of an officer appearing on a particular muster roll does not mean that said officer was actually present for duty in that month. The officer may have been absent on detached duty, on leave or even a prisoner with the rebels. This particular information is sometimes, but not always, indicated on a particular muster roll.
