The following are items on my want list:
- At least one pair of old crossarms that were on an old pole, to keep for old time's sake.
- Some old ID numbers, especially of those that date way back, such as the wide-mouthed 8's.
- ID numbers that are bigger in size.
- To correspond with someone in my area regarding poles, such as someone who works for Western Mass. Electric.
- Yesteryear pictures of poles. Pictures from my area would be of particular interest, as would ID number pictures from the era.
- ID number pictures from various parts of the US, and even from other countries. Would be interesting to see what these numbers look like as compared to what I've seen in my area.
- Information about what the Koppers engrave marks looked like in 1945 and 1946. Would be curious to find out exactly what year Koppers rearranged the order of the information in their engrave marks.
- A copy of the book, The Lineman's [and Cableman's] Handbook to have as a reference whenever I want to look back at some information regarding utility/telephone poles. Recently, I looked at a copy of the sixth edition (published 1981) of the book, which I received through Interlibrary Loan. I may continue to look around on the internet for a used copy of the book in used book stores online, or look around at flea markets.
