USS Aylwin
FF 1081 (Knox class)

courtesey of Mike Nichols

There were two other ships named Aylwin: DD-47 launched 23 November 1912; and DD-355 commissioned March 1935. DD-355 was at Pearl Harbor on Dec 7, 1941 and was able to get under way and get out of the harbor. She went on to have a very distinguished record.
