16 Field Regiment, RNZA
|
||
When the Regiment was formed in 1950, the tac sign was a white 44 on a red over blue rectangle. This identified any piece of equipment carrying the sign as belonging to 16 Field Regiment RNZA, an important distinction since the Regiment was operating with those of other nations in the Korean War. The three batteries of the Regiment were further identified by a coloured bar beneath this tac sign:
161:
162:
163:
During the Vietnam War, the tac sign was a white 13 on a red over blue rectangle. Only 161 Battery was deployed to Vietnam.
In the late eighties, the tac sign was changed to a less conspicuous black 41 on an olive rectangle. It remains thus today. | ||
