25 Battery in Yamaguchi, Japan, 1946

As World War 2 drew to a close, New Zealand joined with other Commonwealth countries to send troops to Japan as the post-war occupation forces. Some of the troops were sent from New Zealand, others from the war in Europe and Africa. 25 Battery made up part of New Zealand's contribution. New Zealand troops returned home in 1948.
