Welcome to the E-Classroom, the educators' resource for "New Jersey Women's History"  and the educational website of the Women's Project of New Jersey, Inc.  Our goal is to provide interesting learning activities based on this extensive data base about women in New Jersey history.

The activities are varied in style and designed for different age groups. Choose the grade level above to find the appropriate learning activity.  Additional activities will be added in the future.

This website provides ideas for teachers who wish to integrate New Jersey women's history into their learning environment.  It is WPNJ's mission to facilitate the teaching and learning of New Jersey women's history in K-12 classrooms around the state, to encourage classroom use of primary historical documents, and to promote the study of New Jersey history. "New Jersey Women's History" is a virtual library which contains primary documents, photographs, a timeline of notable facts, an extensive bibliography, and links to other relevant sites.

The Women's Project of New Jersey, Inc. promotes the teaching and learning of New Jersey women's history through research, publications, programs, and websites.  This website is served by the Scholarly Communications Center located in the Alexander Library of Rutgers University, New Brunswick campus.  We work in collaboration with the Margery Somers Foster Center and Special Collections and University Archives, Rutgers University Libraries. This site is funded in part by a generous special projects grant from the New Jersey Historical Commission, Department of State.
