PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
- Engine Run (for alarm circuits)

- Load Circuit
- Fuel Pump
Complete the power trainline jumper connections, including plugging the two end-of-train power jumpers into the mating receptacles. (See Figure 5.) The yellow Trainline Complete light will come on.
CAUTION : TO AVOID EQUIPMENT DAMAGE CAUSE BY IMPROPER CONNECTIONS, USE EXTREME CARE THAT EACH POWER JUMPER AND M.U. JUMPER IS CONNECTED TO THE APPROPRIATE SOCKET.
Set the Engine Control Switch to STANDBY or PASSENGER RUN, as desired.
Close the Auxiliary Power Control Breaker.
Push the Generator Excitation Start button and hold until the two phase lights come on.
Check the voltage for either STANDBY (480 Volts) or PASSENGER RUN (512 Volts) position.
NOTE 1: If the two phase lights do not come on when the Generator Excitation Start button is pushed, check the following :
The cars in the train or locomotive are not connected to another 480-volt power supply such as wayside or another locomotive.
