'die Schweizer Illustrierte Zeitung'

an Illustrated Swiss Newsmagazine

'Die Schweizer Illustrierte Zeitung' (the Swiss Illustrated News) was a weekly illustrated newsmagazine much like those published in countries around the world. In appearance, size and illustrative contents, it most resembles the German publication 'Berliner Illustrierte Zeitung'. Each issue contained a large number of photographs, mostly news agency material, many printed in large size. But unlike it's German look-a-like, this Swiss magazine was supposedly neutral. Naturally news of national interest was also printed and much was made of the state of preparedness of the Swiss army.
