'Le Livre de la Franternité Héroique' (the Book of the Fraternity of Heros) was a French serial publication, extolling the heroism and sacrifice of all manner of French and Allied heros in many fields of endeavor. Publication started in 1916 apparently when enough heros had been created to warrant dedicating a full sized deluxe volume to them all. Aside from the somewhat bombastc and old-fashioned sounding title, the issues were not overblown, but rather done in a tasteful and subdued, respectful manner. Extensive use of color printing was used in this publication, many photos being redone in color by hand.

The first issue starts with an hommage to British nurse Edith Cavell, french aviator Charles Pegoud and other war time heros.
