AFV Technical (Liaison) Letters sent in by Peter Brown and other sources.
I think this information is new to most if not all readers.

on the May 1970 issue of AFV News. According to the caption is was
taken in 1944 in England by Bill Neher: "It is a most interesting size
comparison of a pair or light M-22 "Locust" airborne tanks sharing a tank
depot with a group of Sherman VC "Fireflies"." |

Mark Hayward's Sherman
Firefly site features a document with new
information on the Sherman M4 and M4A3 with 17 pounder guns in US service.
This document contains an evaluation of the information contained in documents
provided by Steve Zaloga concerning the development, production and use
of the batch of Sherman Fireflies allocated to US Forces in the European
Theatre of Operations (ETO) 1944-45.
Shown left is an ex-range
observation Sherman. It served at a US Army base in Germany, and currently
is preserved at the Auto & Technik Museum at Sinsheim, Germany.
