NJ Special Olympics
May 1997

The New Jersey Special Olympics Summer Games, at the College of New Jersey, featured great weather, large crowds, a lot of activity and a really good time. Congratulations to everyone that helped make this a great event for the 1844 registered athletes. About 92 Scouts and Scouters/parents were involved in the Service Camporee from the Opening Ceremonies on Friday night to site breakdown on Sunday afternoon. Members of Troops 6, 96 and 759 camped overnight at a lovely site near the lake. Members of Troops 27, 44, 71 and 91 helped during the day.
