4.8.14 Shorncliffe, as part of 10th Brigade, 4th Division. Landed in France 22.8.14. On 11.11.18 located S.E. of Valenciennes, France.
2nd Battalion
4.8.14 Malta. Landed in England 19.9.14 and joined 22nd Brigade, 7th Division at Lyndhurst. Landed at Zeebrugge 7.10.14. Arrived in Italy 24.11.17. On 4.11.18 located west of Udine, Italy.

Disbanded 20.2.18 and personnel to 2/6th Battalion and 24th Entrenching Battalion.

9th Battalion
Formed at Warwick in August 1914. To Salisbury Plain in 39th Brigade, 13th (Western) Division. To Basingstoke January 1915. To Blackdown, Aldershot, in February. Sailed from Avonmouth on 24.6.15. Landed at Suvla Bay, Gallipoli, August 1915. January 1916 to Mudros, and then to Egypt. Embarked at Suez on 16.2.16 for Mesopotamia. Landed at Basra on 28.2.16. July 1918 with 39th Brigade to North Persia Force. On 31.10.18 located at Transcaspia, Krasnovodsk.

Formed at Warwick in September 1914. To Salisbury Plain in 57th Brigade, 19th (Western) Division. To Winter billets December 1914. Concentrated around Tidworth, early 1915. To France 17.7.15. On 11.11.18 located west of Bavai, France.

11th Battalion
Formed at Warwick in October 1914. Army Troops attached to 24th Division on South Downs. Joined 112th Brigade, 37th Division in April 1915 on Salisbury Plain. To France 30.7.15. Disbanded in France, in Wardrecques area, on 7.2.18.
14th Battalion (1st Birmingham Pals)
Raised at Birmingham by the Lord Mayor and a local committee in September 1914. To Sutton Coldfield 5.10.14. To Wensley Dale and 95th Brigade, 32nd Division on 25.6.15. To Codford, Salisbury Plain on 5.8.15. Landed at Boulogne 21.11.15. To 13th Brigade, 5th Division 28.12.15. To Italy 29.11.17 - 6.12.17. Returned to France 1/6.4.18. On 5.10.18 became Pioneer Battalion, 5th Division. On 11.11.18 located Pont-sur-Sambre, France.
15th Battalion (2nd Birmingham Pals)
Raised at Birmingham by the Lord Mayor and a local committee in September 1914. To Sutton Coldfield 5.10.14. To Wensley Dale and 95th Brigade, 32nd Division June 1915. To Codford, Salisbury Plain on August 1915. Landed at Boulogne 21.11.15. To 14th Brigade, 5th Division 28.12.15. To 13th Brigade, 5th Division 14.1.16. To Italy 10/16.12.17. Returned to France 1/6.4.18. Disbanded near Ytres 6.10.18 and personnel to 14th and 16th Battalions.
16th Battalion (3rd Birmingham Pals)
Raised at Birmingham by the Lord Mayor and a local committee in September 1914. At Moseley, Birmingham. To Malvern March 1915. To Wensley Dale and 95th Brigade, 32nd Division June 1915. To Codford, Salisbury Plain on August 1915. Landed at Boulogne 21.11.15. To 15th Brigade, 5th Division 26.12.15. To Italy 13.12.17. Returned to France 8.4.18. To 13th Brigade, 5th Division on 4.10.18. On 11.11.18 located near Le Quesnoy, France.
1st Garrison Battalion
Formed at Weymouth in August 1915. To Egypt, where it remained for the rest of the War.
