1st Battalion

4.8.14 Bordon, as part of 3rd Brigade, 1st Division. Landed at Havre on 13.8.14. To I Corps Troops on 8.11.14. To 5th Brigade, 2nd Division on 21.7.15. To 100th Brigade, 33rd Division on 15.12.15. To 19th Brigade, 33rd Division on 5.2.18. On 11.11.18 located at Berlaimont, France.

2nd Battalion

4.8.14 Pretoria, South Africa. Sailed from Cape Town on 27.8.14. Landed at Southampton on 19.9.14 and joined 22nd Brigade, 7th Division at Lyndhurst. Landed at Zeebrugge on 6.10.14. To 91st Brigade, 7th Division on 20.12.15. To Italy 18/24.11.17. On 4.11.18 located west of Udine, Italy.

1/4th Battalion T.F.

4.8.14 Croydon as part of Surrey Brigade, Home Counties Division. August 1914 to Maidstone. September-October at Canterbury. Embarked at Southampton on 29.10.14 and sailed for India. Landed at Bombay on 3.12.14 and remained in India until the end of the war.

1/5th Battalion T.F.

4.8.14 Guildford as part of Surrey Brigade, Home Counties Division. August 1914 to Maidstone. September-October at Canterbury. Embarked at Southampton on 29.10.14 and sailed for India. Landed at Bombay on 2.12.14. Home Counties Division broken up. Landed at Basra 7.12.15 as part of 34th Indian Brigade. To 12th Indian Brigade on 11.1.16. May 1916 to 15th Indian Division. On 31.10.18 located near Hilla, south of Baghdad, Mesopotamia.

2/4th Battalion T.F.

Formed at Croydon in August 1914. To Windsor in 2nd Surrey Brigade, 2nd Home Counties Division in November 1914. To 160th Brigade, 53rd (Welsh) Division on 24.4.15 at Cambridge (formed Composite Battalion with 2/5th Battalion but became 2/4th Bn again after two months). Sailed from Devonport on 18.7.15. Landed at Suvla Bay, Gallipoli, 9.8.15. To Egypt 13/19.12.15. Moved from Alexandria to Taranto, Italy, 18/22.6.18. To 101st Brigade, 34th Division, at Proven, Belgium, 29.6.18. On 11.11.18 located at Courtrai, Belgium.

3/4th Battalion T.F.

Formed at Windsor in June 1915 from balance of 2/4th Battalion which had joined 53rd Division as a Composite Battalion. July 1915 to 200th Brigade, 67th Division at Tunbridge Wells. October 1915 to Reigate. July 1916 to Westbere. November 1916 to Ramsgate. April 1917 to Westbere. Landed at Havre 1.6.17. Initially attached to 9th, 4th and 12th Divisions. To 62nd Brigade, 21st Division on 9.8.17. Disbanded at Moislains on 11.2.18 and personnel to 1st, 6th, 7th and 8th Battalions.

6th Battalion

Formed at Guildford, August 1914. To 37th Brigade, 12th (Eastern) Division at Purfleet. November 1914 to Hythe. February 1915 to Aldershot. May 1915 landed at Boulogne. On 11.11.18 located at Rumegies, east of Orchies, France.

7th Battalion

Formed at Guildford, September 1914. To 55th Brigade, 18th (Eastern) Division at Purfleet. April 1915 to Colchester. May 1915 to Salisbury Plain. On 27.7.15 landed at Boulogne. On 11.11.18 located at Pommereuil, east of Le Cateau, France.

8th Battalion

Formed at Guildford, August 1914. To 72nd Brigade, 24th Division at Shoreham. December 1914 to Worhing. April 1915 to Shoreham. June 1915 to Aldershot (Blackdown). Landed at Boulogne on 31.8.15. To 17th Brigade, 24th Division 7.2.18. On 11.11.18 located at Bavai, France.

Victoria Cross:

L/Cpl J.W.Sayer Le Verguier 21.3.18 (p)

10th Battalion (Battersea)

Raised on 3.6.15 by the Mayor and Borough of Battersea and joined 124th Brigade, 41st Division. February 1916 at Stanhope Lines, Aldershot. Landed at Havre on 6.5.16. November 1917 to Italy. Returned to France 5.3.18. On 11.11.18 located at Tenbosch, near Nederbrakel, Belgium.

11th Battalion (Lambeth)

Raised on 16.6.15 by the Mayor and Borough of Lambeth. Joined 124th Brigade, 41st Division in February 1916 at Wellington Lines, Aldershot. Landed at Havre on 5.5.16. November 1917 to Italy. Returned to France 6.3.18. On 11.11.18 located west of Nederbrakel, Belgium.
