What is special

In order to give the user of the project more information about the links in this project we are switching to "typed links"; this means that you can see by the appearance of the link, what kind of link it is. We use four type of links:

• Links to backgorund material internal
• Links to external material of all kinds
• Links biographic background material
• Links to original historical documents
• Links to essays that were written for this project

We hope that making this difference will reduce the feeling of "getting lost in cyberspace".

We started this new convention in Novermber 2004, so it will take a while before all files have been reviewed.

• All normal looking links in this project bring you to another place in the project, where you will find background material about the link.
• All links that have yellow background will open a new window in which an external link will be opened: by closing that window you will return to the point where you left the project. We are not responsible for the maintenance of external links. In some parts of the project you will still se the old -icon to indicate you are leaving the project.
• All links that have a blue background bring you to biographic information about the person whose name formed the link.
• All links that have a grey background will bring you to relevant original documents about the link.
• All links that have a orange background will bring you to relevant original essays about the link.
