The main body of the hypertext 'From Revolution to Reconstruction' comes from An Outline of American History. This is a publication of the United States Information Agency. Counterparts have also been published on Government, Geography, Economy and Literature.

The Outline of American History has been revised over the years. Since the differences between the various editions show the changes in historiography over time, we shall eventually provide in hypertext-form all the editions we can get our hands on. We would like to put all other editions on the web, but have not found these in our libraries. If you could help us, we would be very grateful.
