Loved your stories about USS Glover, was the greatest tour of duty I had in 20 yrs
in the service. Retired as radioman chief. Swim call was off Bermuda, was on
"Gitmo" fitness trial, made Med cruise, many, many great memories. Wish it all
could have been that great. Still in contact with Bill Walters, Radio gang, lives in
Virginia. Newport R.I. re-visited many times, have cruise book from med trip, don't
remember many names but am sure faces will fall in place. Love the page, was a
truly unique ship, remember capt. McConnell, flag football games in Italy, long rides
around the ocean walk in Newport. I could reminisce forever, but won't.
