Hazelwood 2001 Reunion Notice

Hi Brad,

We have begun to do some investigating of hotels, etc. in Boston for the 2001 reunion!!
Not having much luck yet as most places aren’t looking to 2001!

We’d be glad for any volunteers!

Need a VFW member from the Boston area who can help us with a VFW for a lunch one day, if it’s possible. Also, any "free hands" would be helpful with the planning. We’re aiming at the weekend of April 28 -30, 2001.

**Update**

July 22, 2000

Plans for the 2001 USS HAZELWOOD REUNION are well under way. The reunion
will be in the Boston area on April 27-30, 2001 with the actual
activities planned for the 28th &29th. We have contracted with the
Sheraton Braintree Hotel, which is just outside the city. We suggest
that any sailors planning to attend  make a New England vacation to
coincide with the reunion. There is a wealth of sights to see that are
within an easy drive of Boston!

More information will be coming out in late October.

As of now we have heard from 87 sailors. 54 of whom plan to attend with
or without spouses/friends and 33 who are not sure!

If you have not already received information on the reunion please
contact us so that we can include you in the future mailings.
