From Albert Calis: II was noticing the Thailand National Route shields on James Lin's page, and I thought that the picture of the Garuda (the 'black bird') on the shield was pretty cool. However it was too small and the rest of the shield seemed bland, so I decided to redesign them, moving the Garuda to the left of the number and enlarging it to give it better emphasis. I also did two versions, one in standard black & white, and the other in color for effect.
