From Andrew Muck: Alas, here's another sign I did. I like New York's design the way it is, but I thought it could use some more color. I added back the old "NY" at the top of the sign and used a similar color scheme as used on NY's license plates before 1986 or so, which also happen to be the state colors and still seen on NYS Troopers cars.
From Ryan E. Hague: Simple and Patriotic.
From Eric: I got some NY road shields for ya. Get a larger view of one in Big Signs.
From Ed Meissner: Inspired
by Andrew Muck's design: use the same basic shape and use the old
license plate colors for the State Roads, but use cutout shields
instead of square ones like he has. The County Roads would have
the same cutout, but use the standard blue and gold colors, plus
Canary Yellow for the route# so it would be seen at night (I know
this from experience, driving on posted County Roads in various
states!)
