Indiana

CCS: Kim Harvey requested this one. Basically it's still the same square, but with a touch of colour to it. I think the panel and the nonstandard typeface make the state name more noticeable-which in my opinion, is important.

RVD: The Hoosier State used a state outline on their highway sign in the past. The state's true shape in my proposed sign has been modified to fit a standard sign blank while retaining the state's unique identity. The state seal is not well suited for use as a highway sign, and it is the main feature on the state flag. Recent license plates would be hard to translate. The blue coloring is meant to represent the state flag.

From M. Dietrich : I also did a couple for Indiana just for laughs.

From J.P. Kirby: The yellow section on the bottom represents "Amber Waves of Grain", as seen on early 1990s license plates. The blue background represents the sky.

From Brandon M. Gorte: This Indiana route sign incorporates the state shape and a basketball into a stylized "i". I chose the basketball since basketball is practically Indiana's state sport.

From Jeremy Lance: I made this in about 30 minutes. It's a silhouette of the patron saint of Indiana, John Cougar Mellencamp. It's certainly better than a boring square.
