From Albert Calis: I got this idea after looking at existing shields used in both Japan and Taiwan. I took the existing design from the National Flag, only I rearranged the yellow stars so the 4 smaller stars would curve on top of the big star instead of on the right side like on the flag, and placed them on the bottom of the shield.
