Route: US 90 begins in Jacksonville Beach at a junction with FL A1A. Then it continues though Jacksonville, Lake City, Tallahassee, Crestview, and Pensacola on its way west out of the state. US 90 is mostly a two lane route, with four lane sections in cities. There are four lane sections of US 90 built from Tallahassee to Quincy and from Milton to Pensacola

Route: In Jacksonville: From US 90 at Beach Blvd, north up Southside Blvd, west at Atlantic Blvd to US 90 in the St. Nicholas area in south Jacksonville. Before 1979, the beginning was shifted to Killarney Shores. Sometime after 1993, Alt US 90 was moved from the Arlington Expressway to its current location.

Drive: This route used to be much longer, stretching from the beginnning of US 90 at Jacksonville Beach, up FL A1A to FL 10, then followed FL 10 to the Arlington Expressway, and over the Matthews Bridge to Downtown Jacksonville at the terminus of US 23. Current Alt US 90 has been completely moved off this alignment over the years.

Route: From Tallahassee to Havana along US 27, then west on FL 12 to Quincy. The former route of US 90 from 1926-1949 (Note: Decommissioned before advent of colored US shields in Florida.) This route may have been wishful thinking on the part of a General Drafting mapmaker working for KYSO.

Route: Pensacola: Leaves US 90 at the community of Riverview on Escambia Bay, following Nine Mile Road through Ensley west to Beulah, where it rejoins US 90. Mostly multilane.

Drive: a straight route through mostly rural areas, acting like a Bypass route.

Route: Florida's Truck routes are often marked without route markers and are not considered to be part of the US highway system by FDOT. Perry's signage maintains the US routes along the way. The route is locally known as Baya Ave.
