READING COMPANY

This page will cover the Newtown branch.  Today commuter service operates only as far as Fox Chase.  A number of depots remain north of this point.

The branch begins at Wayne Junction.

rdgRDCNewtwn1.jpg (80902 bytes)  In 1982, Septa held the RDC cars for possible restoration of service following the removal of all non-electrified trains.  Periodically they would be run just in case.  Sadly, it never happened.
