Canadian Pacific Railway
Welcome to the Canadian Pacific pages. When most people think of the CP, it is of images of trains crossing the mighty Canadian Rockies or more recently their operations of the former Milwaukee Road lines and the old SOO Line in the midwest US. My focus, however, will be on the eastern end of the railroad. I was fortunate to visit the lines in New Brunswick and Quebec long before their sale to other operators. Also, these lines were largely powered by MLW engines ( Canada's Alco versions ). I also had a terrific opportunity to receive permission to walk through the CP engine facilities in Montreal, known as St. Luc., filled with recently retired and soon to be scrapped MLW cab units.
