CANADIAN NATIONAL
Lines east of Montreal, P.Q.
The first set of images will be of what once was a subsidiary of the CN called the Grand Trunk. This is not be confused with the Grand Trunk Western that operated in Michigan, Indiana and into Chicago. The Grand Trunk ran from Portland, Maine to Montreal. The primary through trains in later years were 393 and 394. The town of Island Pond, Vermont is about midway between Portland and Montreal and was a crew change point and operating headquarters for the line.
