Admiral Schley's Pennant
This is Admiral Winfield Scott Schley's rear
admiral's pennant. The rank is indicated by the number of stars. The flag
proudly remains in the Admiral's family. Schley commanded the "Flying Squadron,"
and later, at the Naval Battle of Santiago,
led the attack on Cervera's Spanish Squadron
in the USS BROOKLYN.
