GENERAL:
ISLA DE LUZON and ISLA DE CUBA were two small Spanish Cruisers which
served with Admiral Montojo's Philippine Squadron.
After the Admiral's flagship REINA CHRISTINA was disabled during the Battle
of Manila Bay, Montojo transfered his flag to ISLE DE CUBA. Both cruisers
were salvaged by the US Navy after the war and recommissioned as gunboats.
