PHASE I: I started the layout some time in 1991. Midnightville was a closet. Made two tunnels through the wall. On the west side, I used a built in shelf as the base. The height of the layout was based on the height of the shelf, the hutch on the computer desk and the center of the window. The center of the window and the height of the desk was about the same. The shelf was a inch higher then the window. So there is a grade from the window to the shelf. The part of the shelf where the lake is going to be was lower. So used 4 UniTrack bridges connecting 2 together.

PHASE II: Section A I added to add a farm area and to bring the east track closer to the front of the layout. Section B was added to add stores, hospital, and a road in front of the 2 sidings. Section C is Lake Charles. I added a board in front to add the lake, road and campground along with a few cabins even a burnt down one.

PHASE III: Section A I added a 3" piece in front to add a staging track, so I did not have to reach over the main line to put on or pull off cars. Section B was added to smooth out the layout and add a McDonalds resturant. To see full detail of layout please see layout page.

PHASE IV: Phase 4 is the room addition, where I went into the other bedroom. Started withRock Canyon and back into the main layout.

PHASE V: Connected the canyon and went around the room. Enlarged the closet. Built loop in closet and back around into the main layout. To see full detail of expansion layout please see Room 2
