This World War 1 77-mm Feldkanone was made in Germany around 1916 and widely used by the divisional artillery during the latter half of the war . It was brought to NZ as a war trophy and has since been restored. It now stands in Rotorua, adjacent to a monument dedicated to those members of the Arawa Tribe who were killed and served in World War Two. The monument is located within the gardens within which the Rotorua bathhouse / museum complex is also located.
