Ian Rowntree was a sad loss to the Retired Regiment, first noted in 16 Field Regiment, Korea, and subsequently as an ever-cheerful and highly regarded NCO and WO in New Zealand. Iris writes: "Also, I must tell you I was very proud for my Ian to see so many of the Gunners at his service and I do thank them very much." June 2000
