Phil Walker entertained crowds of visitors, telling the true history of the Poudre Valley, putting together the stories like a giant jigsaw puzzle, the story of Jack Slade, the "Poudre Valley Legend", and his wife, Virginia Dale, for whom the station was named, and other tales of the Virginia Dale Overland Trail Stage Station.
