Merritt Parkway north to exit 53; turn left onto Route 110 (Main Street, then River Road); cross into the Town of Shelton;

History:

When the Housatonic River used to freeze over, people would play ice hockey on the river

Facilities:

fishing, picnic shelter (thought to be an old renovated garage)
